Happy 3 Month Birthday Anden!!

Anden, what are you up to at 3 months?

~You are such a porker! People are shocked when I tell them you're only 3 months old. It's no wonder, you've outgrown most of your 3-6 month and are wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes.

~You are such a happy baby. You love being talked to, kissed and loved on, and of course being held.

~You smile all the time, especially at Kaylee.

~You eat 6 ounces every 3-4 hours.

~You normally wake up 1-2 times at night.

~You slept in your crib for the first time last night up in Jake's room. We've moved Jake over to Kaylee's room for awhile (at least until you're sleeping through the night.)

~You love looking at and talking to the mobile on your crib.

~We tried rice cereal for the first time about a week ago, but you weren't so sure about it, so we'll wait another month or so to try it again.

~You would rather suck on your thumb rather than the paci.

~You still don't sleep well in your bed during the day. You'd rather sleep in your carseat, swing, or better yet, be held!

~You're right up there with Kaylee & Jake as being one of the cutest babies ever!

~You're favorite time of day is bathtime. See... here's proof!

Anden's BIG Day

Oh boy, did Anden have a big day today or what... and to think that none of it would have happened without a good poop this morning! I'll get to that in a minute though. :-)

Jake and I took Anden to have his 3 month pictures taken today. With the help of his big brother who is a pro at making him smile, Anden did everything he was supposed to do. Looked cute, smiled, looked cute, smiled, looked cute, smiled... you get the picture... did I mention he looked cute and smiled? Then out of no where as they were taking the picture you see below, he decided to roll over for the first time ever! How exciting!

Here's another one.

As I mentioned earlier, we came so close this morning to cancelling our appointment all because the poor little guy hadn't pooped in a few days. He was so uncomfortable last night that he didn't sleep much (neither did Jesse and I) and was only content if we were holding him. Then out of no where this morning, his little fanny exploded. I knew it immediately but it was too late. He had it all over him, all over me, and all over the couch. Even Jake got in on the mess trying to help clean it up. I finally ended up tossing Anden in the tub, scrubing the couch down, and soaking all of our clothes. I've seen blowout diapers before, but this topped them all! Here's a picture of the dirty diaper.

Back to School

Back to school tomorrow!!! Kaylee starts tomorrow, Jake starts on Monday. You would think that any mother, in her right mind, would look forward to this. I always THINK or try to tell myself that I'm ready for school to start, get the kids back into a routine, and have some time to myself to get things done, but it always hits me a few days before they go back. This year, it hit me last night. I think part of it was that Jesse took the day off yesterday and we took Kaylee and Jake to Holiday World. We all had a blast (even Jesse who hates amusement parks admitted that he had a good time.) As we were going to bed last night, my mind was spinning thinking, "That's it... the summer's over. School's starting, no more playdates with my girlfriends and their kids, no more fun days at Holiday World, no more adventures hiking and canoeing" (oops... still need to blog about that)... And I know that's not really the case, of course they have their weekends and breaks, but it's just not the same. Bottom line, we have SO MUCH FUN TOGETHER and I hate to see it end! You'll laugh when I tell you that since we had so much fun yesterday and since I was hating it that today was the last day of their summer break, the kids and I decided to go back to Holiday World today. Thank goodness for season passes (no actually thank Grandma Mary Lee and Grandpa Denis!)

So anyhow, that's where I'm at tonight. Bummed out that summer's over, and already looking forward to Fall Break. Oh well, can't do anything about it... I've tried telling Kaylee that I'm going to quit feeding her so she'll stop growing up and then she'll always be my little girl. She just laughs at me and looks at me like I'm nuts. For some reason, she's looking forward to tomorrow. Already has her clothes picked out and everything! She obviously adjusts to change better than me. :-)

I'll try to post a few pictures of her tomorrow and let you know how her first day back went.
