We spent Christmas at Nana & Pa's house this year, so on Christmas Eve before we drove up, we let the kids open a couple gifts.  Here's Kaylee showing Anden her new Kindle Fire.

Anden wanted 2 things... a sword and a hoppity ball.  Doesn't take much to satisfy this boy!

Split household...

 

We were so happy to get to spend part of Christmas day with my nephew Ben and niece Abigail.

 

Ben gave the kids a sled... hoping to get GOOD use from it this year!

After dinner, we drove home and spent Christmas evening with Jesse's side of the family.

 

Here's Anden with his Godmother and Godfather, Aunt Jenny & Uncle Daryl. 

They gave him a very cool barn for all his animals.

Little Ranger

Jacob's Little Ranger Basketball Program is in full swing.  He of course loves all sports... when asked what his favorite sport is, he always responds by choosing whatever sport he's playing at the time.  I think his favorite is baseball, but who knows!

Jacob is loving his new BB gun.  Nearly everyday after school he asks if he can go out in the woods just next to our house and hunt.  He likes letting his rabbit dog, Haley, out to go with him.

 

PTO Performance

The 3rd and 4th graders at Kaylee's school were the entertainment for this fall's PTO meeting.  They did a great job!    Kaylee is the ne in the very center of the picture.

 

 

Her school was honored by being chosen as a National Blue Ribbon School this year. 

HUGE HONOR!

We're so blessed to be able to send our kids to such a great school with wonderful teachers! 

Happy 8th Birthday Jacob!

We celebrated Jacob's birthday this month with friends and family...

 

Jacob invited a few friends to spend an evening at Big Splash in French Lick.

He has been wanting an iPod for his Birthday, so Kaylee and I decided to trick him by wrapping it up and putting it in several bigger boxes.  I think we had him going for awhile!

 

FINALLY!!!  (Check out the smile on that happy kid!)

 

We also celebrated with family...

 

His Godfather gave him a BB gun.  He's loving it!

 

And Nana and Pa gave him an IU blanket.  He loves it!

Busy Times

Kids have been back to school now for nearly two months...

 

We took some time away at the very end of August for a few days at the beach (more pictures coming soon)...

 

 

 

 

We've made it through Jacob's first season of football...

 

Jacob's got the ball here with a teammate ready to do some blocking.

 

 

 

And he's in the END ZONE for a TD!!!

And we're almost through Kaylee's season of soccer.

 

She has made some major improvements this year.

Here she is, right in the middle of everything, going after the ball.

 

She loves playing defense.

 

She got an amazing kick in here.

As you can see, things are very good here, just busy!
